Netherlands-based designer Max Lipsey will be launching his new 'Acciaio' series of seating at the Milan Salone in April.
The set of three lightweight steel chairs are inspired by the classic racing bicycle (hence the name - acciaio is Italian for 'steel') and will be presented in the Rossignoli Bicycle shop on Corso Garibladi 71 between the 12th and the 17th of April.
Constructed by Max, by hand, from tapered steel bicycle tubes using brazing techniques from the bike frame-building craft and perforated leather, the dining chair, stool and lounge chair are all light and strong, just like the bikes that inspired them.
Plus, they'll come in a range of sixteen colours; all named after a classic bike builder...
