These beautiful sculptural pieces are works by Russian woodworker Denis Milovanov who crafts furniture from dead or damaged trees.

These large seats are just a couple of designs he's devised for sections of salvaged wood - a fabulous use for natural materials which would otherwise be wasted.

Heavy duty, and likely to last more than a lifetime, their organic forms recall the tree they once were with a nod to modernist geometry.
