BIG GAME NEW COLLECTION 2011

Big Game will be launching these new works at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, which officially begins tomorrow.

First up is the Castor collection they've designed for Japanese company Karimoku New Standard.

Comprised of a simple, good looking stool, bench and shelf in Japanese oak, each piece in the range is based on the same construction principle.

The Castor range references traditional Japanese furniture typology, and also uses only small sections of wood; in-keeping with Karimoku's focus on craftsmanship and sustainability.

'Bote' is a rather more playful new product for Portuguese company Materia. The series of floating boats are made of cork and plastic and have interchangeable top pieces.

And last, but definitely not least is this great ruler; also for Karimoku New Standard, where Big Game have devised a clever little wood grain print to to give the measure instread of the usual plain old lines.

Neat.
