Perfect for those of you who like their kitchen stuff unfussy and functional, these are the newly launched designs by Naoto Fukasawa for Japanese firm ±0 (Plus Minus Zero).

The 'Wire ware' range was on show at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during the Salone del Mobile in Milan and consists of bread and fruit baskets, an egg carton and cup, as well as a toast stand.

Simple, and kind of iconic, they're constructed from black wire that does the job efficiently and with style.

We'd say these pieces are keepers.
