Danish design duo HolmbäckNordentoft have created this playful candle lantern for Normann Copenhagen, based on the iconic silhouette of the archetypical Nordic house.

'LightHouse' seems to have been inspired in part by Sebastian Holmbäck and Ulrik Nordentoft's studio location - since 2008, they've been designing from an old fisherman's cottage in the small village of Espergærde just north of Copenhagen.

LightHouse is the result of playing with various sketches and pictograms of archetypical houses; plain in design but bright in colour, and when darkness falls, the little form remains as a lighted silhouette.

A great addition to a summer evening barbecue party, we say get one in each colour.
