TREIS TREIS AND FRAME BY BENJAMIN HUBERT FOR KUNDALINI

Benjamin Hubert has recently been experimenting with manufacturing techniques usually employed in the automotive industry; and the results are these two new lamps for Italian firm Kundalini.

'Treis Treis' is a strong, yet lightweight pendant lamp designed using aluminum pressing to attain a non-oblique shape that both allows visual lightness and freedom of form.

Produced at a car panel production facility from recycled aluminium, and with the absolute minimum of material wastage, the lamp has an injection moulded polycarbonate diffuser with a fractured prismatic surface which allows light to be reflected and diffused like a car headlight difractor structure.

'Frame' is a quiet, sleek wall lamp, made from a one shot aluminum die casting with integrated glass diffuser.

By reflecting and framing the illumination from the wall, Frame melds in with its surroundings, which means it's light and shadow that becomes the key focal point.
