PARQ LIFE BY LEE BROOM FOR DEADGOOD

Lee Broom has created this new collection of parquet-inspired furniture and lighting called ‘Parq Life’, for British design firm Deadgood.

The collaboration is set to launch at The Farmiloe Building during Clerkenwell Design Week which will be kicking off on the 24th of May.

By combining the traditional herringbone pattern of parquet flooring with contemporary curves in furniture, Broom has transformed a time-old technique into a gorgeous modern-day collection.

Broom has used a sleek, satin-finished walnut veneer and added brass accents to essential interior pieces such as a sideboard, a coffee table, a lamp and a side table.

Working with Aryma marquetry specialists in Powys, Wales and fabricated by JR Cabinet Makers in Folkstone, Broom's collection showcases the best of British manufacturing.

And there'll be more launches from Deadgood very soon too, as this collaboration forms part of their commissions project in which four critically acclaimed British designers and studios were charged with developing new collections of products.

The remaining three collaborations will be launched during the London Design Festival in September this year.

Watch this space because it'll probably be dead good.
