ROLL AND HILL LAUNCH NEW LIGHTING COLLECTION AT ICFF 2011

Stateside lighting company Roll & Hill presented their second collection at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair earlier this month, and we have to say; on the whole, we liked it a lot.

The new collection includes pieces by Roll & Hill creative director, Jason Miller as well as Lindsey Adelman, Paul Loebach, Jonas Damon and Jonah Takagi.

M.E. favourites include 'Trestle' by Jonas Damon which is clean, minimal, and takes the familiar form of a traditional wooden sawhorse but reinvents it as a desk lamp, and also Jonah Takagi's 'Bluff City' pendant seems to have the perfect retro:cute ratio for us.

But it's probably the rather futuristic 'Endless' light; a modular suspension and wall lighting system designed by Jason Miller which stands out most strongly in our humble opinion.

Comprised of half-cylinder units that can be joined back-to-back or end-to-end into various arrangements, the limitless configurations of the light can also be used to define space; a key feature of 1970s Supergraphics which apparently inspired the design.

Flexible, adaptable, and a little bit Tron-ish.

What's not to love?
