German designers KFF have recently launched this new dining table called 'Foerster' which combines recycled oak beams with a striking metal frame.
The prototype was on show in Milan during the Salone del Mobile in April, but now the the final production-ready form of the design is available.
Foerster's table top is hand made made from recycled oak beams reclaimed from old timbered houses, and supported by a steel frame.
We like this playful detail to an otherwise rather traditional table - the tangle of lines underneath cast shadows rather like a little forest.
