SILO STORAGE BY CHARLES JOB

Normann Copenhagen has just introduced a handy new display and storage product called 'Silo', designed for them by Charles Job.

Inspired in part by the New York skyline, where skyscrapers exploit space to the utmost, Silo's small steel framework frames your possessions and creates elbow room in the bathroom, the kitchen or in the office.

Charles Job says:

"Like all of my designs, Silo is based around a pretty simple idea. The greatest challenge was the dimensioning, and getting harmonious proportions, sizes and design to interact.

The idea was to create a stylish shelf that is large enough to store the many objects that you would find in e.g. a bathroom, while making it plain and pure in its expression so it is not too dominating."

Also, Silo's half container/half shelf nature means that it's not just limited to holding practical items you need organising.

We reckon it'd even make a great hanging flower box outdoors...
