Jennifer Dengler's experimental series of vessels, 'Branches - Grown Structures in Glass' are currently in Berlin, taking part in the DMY design festival which is now in full swing.
Juicy bright in colour, Dengler's vases appear like a forest full of growing plants and trees, reaching both horizontally and vertically.
They're the result of a collaboration with glassmaker Peter Kuchinke and the glass factory of the Museumsdorf Glashütte in Baruth, Germany, and are all individually hand made.
It's this production method which characterises the pieces - look closely and it becomes clear that each 'Branch' is different - offering a variety of uses and reinforcing the idea that each one is 'grown' just like the plant life that inspired them.
