Dutch designer Reinier de Jong's latest project is this neat little desk design called 'Dex'.
Compact and minimalist, its form is a bit of a classic, with shots of candy colour running along the top of each draw.
Dex consists of two horizontal cross shapes made in solid wood and a drawer unit containing two or three drawers (depending on how much storage you need) which can also be pulled out entirely to provide a place for a printer.
The top profile is ultra slimline - only 12 mm wide - consisting of alternating layers of high pressure laminate and aluminium which is a type of panel usually applied in laboratory table tops.
Durable, easy to maintain and structurally very strong, we think this would make a great home office piece.
