MODULAR LIGHTS BY ROBERT HOFFMANN

Robert Hoffmann has designed these 'Modular' lights which can be bent and twisted to create a variety of lighting effects.

Hoffman's adjustable luminaries are made of flat planes of aluminium and steel which are jointed into cuboid forms.

By turning and tilting the flat surfaces (essentially the very form of the lights themselves) you can direct and spill lines of light across a wall or a room.

By prising open or closing up the lamps, you not only vary the light intensity, but also blur the borders between product and sculpture.

Take a little look at how it works in this short film here.
