Working from his studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Niko has developed a range of furniture and small accessories which tread the line beautifully between being functional, attractive design pieces, and something a lot more poetic.

Whether that's an uber minimal strap bookcase which literally weighs the books which have been read and ones still to read, bowls constructed using a skeleton rather like a ship; or a fragile, loom-like room divider, we like his approach very much indeed.
