These bright new pieces of furniture and lighting are by Swedish design studio Glimpt, and we love the way they mix traditional craft techniques with contemporary design approaches.
The series of seats, lights, and little side tables is called Superheroes - produced in collaboration with Swedish illustrator Malin Koort and Vietnamese furniture company UMA.
"Via UMA we got into contact with seagrass and plastic weavers in Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam." say Glimpt.
"They usually make small bowls with paper thread fixed around rolls of seagrass. After spending some time with the weavers and rethinking our first ideas, we realised that we could scale up the dimensions of the rolls.
And having seen people in the streets selling hammocks made out of colourful thread we found the right combination."
We'd say so too. These have seriously brightened up our day.
