Stateside designer-maker Meg O'Halloran has just released these new seating designs which we like very much here at M.E.
Traditional in some regards, and unexpectedly modern in others, the 'Loop' stool and 'Cousin' chair exemplify Meg's studio style, which is also specialised in producing carpets and upholstery fabrics.
An architect by training, Meg has worked at KPF London, Santiago Calatrava NYC, Architectural Record NYC, and Arup in Shanghai, but is now focused on developing quality furniture and furnishings; working in a 'hands on' way.
"We like to make paper models, draw sketches, and build things. Not everything comes from a computer, and not everything comes without it. We seek balance in our designs." she says of her studio process.
These new contemporary classics come in a choice of maple or walnut; plus a zingy pallette of fabric upholstery choices.
