Hot Water Bottle by Wendy Legro for Droog.

FRIDAY TOP FIVE

It's cold out there.

No, actually, it's cold in here too. Our office is freezing, so we thought this Friday's top five should be dedicated to staying warm.

Surely we're not alone?

First off, how about this beautiful hot water bottle by Wendy Legro? We featured this some time ago as she was just finishing her BA at the Design Academy Eindhoven, but this week we heard that you can now buy her graduation project as it's been picked up by the ever eagle-eyed Droog.

Knitwear is a necessity too, and these woolly jumpers by the lovely S.N.S Herning, might be a seriously good investment. Based in Herning, Denmark, S.N.S. Herning has been knitting an authentic fisherman's sweater ever since they opened their factory doors in 1931.

It's important to warm up the insides too; and we find a mug of hot chocolate usually does the trick. We were very taken by this Cocoa Brewing Tool by FuseProject which helps to make the perfect version.

Heating on the move may also be a consideration for some of you. Recently, designers Daniel Martinez and Jeremy Murier collaborated on this clever Volcanic Casing project which is inspired by volcanoes and was one of the twelve selected finalist projects in the 2011 Competition Émile Hermès.

But for sparkle and warmth, we think young Swedish designer Fredrik Hylten-Cavallius' 'Piet' fireplace can't be beaten. We said it before and we'll say it again; this has to be THE cosyest, glittery-est fireplace we ever did see...
