COLLECTION OF LIGHT BY HUMANS SINCE 1982

Here's a new project from Humans Since 1982 which makes you think a little differently about how we catergorize things.

'Collection of Light' is just that; a collection of LEDs which together, constitutes a lamp in itself.

The aim, according to Per and Sebastian of Humans Since 1982, is to create an aura of a real collection - similar to a collection of insects - and expose each illuminant as a worthy industrial product.

The LEDs are all labeled (with name, size and colour temperature) and arranged in a specific order to accomplish harmonic light.

Apart from the big lamp which contains a selection of 300 LEDs, there are also two smaller versions with 150 LEDs and 90 LEDs available, but as you might expect, all the versions are highly limited.

And this collector cabinet concept is entirely genuine for at least a couple of versions, since for the 90 and 150 version the duo refurbished and reused original 70 year-old insect collection drawers from Museum of Natural History in Stockholm.
