DAS PROGRAMM

Brace yourselves, Dieter Rams obsessives and gadget collectors.

Founded in London by Peter Kapos and Chris Ireson, Das Programm is a unique treasure trove of some of the most beautiful, perfect designs made by Rams for Braun during his 40 year tenure at the company - as well as stocking some of his iconic work for Vitsœ.

Additionally they also have pieces from industrial designers Otl Aicher, Hans Gugleot, Wilhelm Wagenfeld, Gerd Alfred Muller, Reinhold Weiss, Dietrich Lubs, Jurgen Greubel, and Robert Oberheim.

"As incorrigible Dieter Rams collectors we are all too aware of the gap between the desirability and availability of his work. Das Programm was conceived to correct this. We only sell Dieter Rams designs and Braun products issued between 1955 and 1995, the period of Rams’ office as Braun’s Director of Design." say the pair.

Showcasing and selling important examples of twentieth century industrial design, Das Programm has made what was once previously hard to find available - without travel or risk of e-auction frustration.

"The Das Programm website has been conceived on the model of a museum catalogue. As far as possible we’ve tried to give relevant historical details on particular designs, and their relation both to each other and the development of the Braun/ Vitsœ programms as a whole.

With visitors in mind that may have more than a passing interest, we have also included a section, Further reading, that aims to provide additional historical context and overview. To invert a well-known phrase, our principle here is ‘more but better’."

Arrgghh. We want everything.
