Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Here's a few frosty things which we've featured over the years on M.E. because we're starting to crave the Christmassy sound of the crunch of snow underfoot...
Firstly we'd like to remind you of the 'Elephant' chair from Kristalia. One part chic chair, one part sled. Awesome.
Stateside artist Mia Pearlman takes the idea of snowflake cutting to the extreme - essentially making weather systems out of paper. Check out her large-scale, cut-out sculpture drawings that fill rooms, explode from walls and swirl mid-air.
Next, not so much snow, as shards of ice. Have look at these 'Quartz Mirrors' by London-based design practice Study O Portable which were presented at Design Miami 2011 earlier this month.
We're still in love with Finnish designer Anna Palomaa's 'Kide' Lamp' which was inspired by the atmospheric glow of winter snow, and glitters when illuminated. Because it's made entirely from sugar.
And finally, how about a magical Tolkein-esque refuge from the snow? Take a look at this beautiful Mountaintop restaurant in Ramundberget, Sweden by Murman Arkitekter.
