This week's Friday Top Five consists of visions of the future. It may be 2012, but we're convinced it's still coming.

So, how will it look?

Perhaps some of you might like the idea of being surrounded by 70s style robotic objects - like this Droid lamp by Jangir Maddadi Design.

And of course, for retro futurists, things clearly wouldn't be complete without a TRON Kitchen.

Or maybe Mother Nature might inform our future, rather than it be shaped by the human urge to override the natural world. This recent, and beautiful Assemblage series by Thaddeus Wolfe got us thinking how mineral forms manage to look so simultaneously ancient, and yet so unknown and futuristic.

And speaking of naturally occuring substances, what about the future of energy? And moreover, pollution?

Will we keep our little planet clean by using energy made by each one of us in our back gardens as per Phillippe Starck's theory?

Or will we purify the air on the move using Catalytic clothing?
