Milan-based design studio Skrivo were in attendance at IMM Cologne 2012 with two rather nice furniture pieces based on the concept of stacking.
'Market' is a multi-use furniture element inspired by the humble fruit and veg crates you see at markets.
By reconstructing market crates in beautiful clear crystal glass, they've created a minimal looking side table, newspaper rack, and storage unit which we're liking very much here at M.E.
The second piece is actually called 'Stack' - a small easy chair and footstool set.
Based on the playful idea of a chair with cushions in constant motion, Stack's multicoloured upholstered cushions appear to be piled up, giving depth and softness to the smart steel and birch wood structure.
