German designer Christian Dorn has just launched a new collection of furniture pieces at IMM Cologne, and this occasional table is the highlight for us.
Created for his studio, Stiltreu, the table is called 'Ta' - a name which is apparently Chinese for 'tower' or 'pagoda'.
Hewn from Bianco Carrara marble (one of M.E.'s favourite materials) Dorn has used a light touch, relying on the natural beauty of the stone and steering clear of adding other materials or complementary components.
Tall and strong - with one thoughtful curve and notch to form its character - Ta has a lovely timelessness about it which we reckon makes it one to invest in and keep forever...
