MARIE DESSUANT AT THE MILAN SALONE 2012

French designer Marie Dessuant will be showing a trio of projects at this month's Milan Salone del Mobile.

Dessuant will be presenting the storage unit ‘Etagère vide-poche’ designed for Ligne Roset, and also, since she currently forms part of Benetton's Fabrica team, will have her work included in the exhibition 'Objet Préféré/Objet Coloré'.

'Objet Préféré/Objet Coloré is an exhibition structured in two collections, created collectively by the team at Fabrica, Benetton Group's communication research centre.

The first, Objet Préféré, is a series of items of furniture created around the idea of a 'favourite object' following a workshop between Fabrica and the cultural centre Grand-Hornu Images in Boussu, Belgium.

The result was fifteen pieces of furniture showcasing the perfect combination of creative design talent from Fabrica's young designers and the technical excellence of Grand-Hornu; Fabrica’s development partner for the collection.

The second collection, 'Objet Coloré', is a system of store display fittings designed to showcase United Colors of Benetton apparel and accessories.

Modular and flexible, the pieces offer a variety of personalised solutions, mixing forms, surfaces, and multicoloured geometries, in line with the distinctive elements of the brand.

The exhibition opens on Tuesday the 17th of April, and runs until Friday the 22nd - more info via the links below.
