THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER

Remember a little while ago we featured the work of young designer Lima de Lezando?  Well, since then he's been busy developing some new products.

'After Church' is a series of cabinets inspired by church windows, and the different combination of glass and enamel, allow the pieces to be both elegant and playful. We like the bold mix of colour with white, keeping things fresh and light.

The second is 'Balloon' - a blown glass and plastic pendant light. Hung here in a group, they're rather sculptural, and would light up a meal beautifully if suspended low above a dining table. But hung singly, we can see them working well in small study or even in a bathroom with a high ceiling.

And finally, 'Ned Lounge' which is a rather Art Deco-meets-60s futurism style sofa. It's a big one; at nearly three metres long, and the base frame is made of 3mm thick steel plate which accomodates the cushions.

We said that Lima would be one to watch, and we were right...
