Recent Eindhoven graduate Noortje van den Elzen has developed a rather grisly table service where hands, feet and little faces reach out from, and disappear into your food.

As playful as it is sinister, the Scarytale plate, cup and bowl prompts stories of goings on under the surface.

What's that in your soup? We think kids would love this, where vessels become food for the imagination and a source of inspiration for serving up spine-chilling tales.
