Bram Geenen's Gaudi stool is a lightweight carbon fiber chair created in the same way that AntonĂ­ Gaudi designed the structure of his churches. It was produced by making a model of hanging chains and letting gravity determine the strongest, and most logical shape for withstanding forces.

Young Dutch Designer Bram Geenen has a captivating portfolio of experimental designs that explore a wide variety of materials and their potential applications.

From emulating Gaudi's technique for determining the structure of churches to create an elegant stool, to lightweight, honeycomb forms which increase strength (whilst reducing density), via silk for tables and porcelain experiments, Geenen pushes the boundaries scientifically and aesthetically.
