Steering well clear of garden gnome aesthetics, young German designer Kilian Schindler has developed this series of furniture inspired by the peculiarities of garden sheds and allotments.
Having studied at the State University of Media Art and Design in Karlsruhe, and also at Ecole Nationale Superieuer des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, Schindler graduated in 2008; having already notched up considerable work experience at companies like Rosenthal Ag and Schonbuch.
We like this well balanced, minimal approach to storage, lighting and seating, where fragments of recognisable archetypes have been re-assembled into pieces to bring indoors.
