These bold pieces are by Sara Pihlström, a student at the University of Gothenburg who is studying for her Masters in jewellery design.

"For my final project I have been working with the heart and the symbolism attached to it." explains Sara.

"My interpretation of the heart has been made in an associative way, where the values placed in the symbol is of great importance. The heart is a vessel where our feelings of love, hate, fear and joy are hidden."

Through form and material, we think Pihlström's chunky pieces show a lot of heart.
