Young designer Dik Scheepers recently graduated from ABK Maastricht, and this project, 'Pieces of Π' is one of his most recent works - a collection of perfectly imperfect ceramics.

"I do not think it is necessary to make the perfect mold. I accept the mistakes, which are normally not wanted. These mistakes become a characteristic of the product and tell a lot about its processing. They make the product even more beautiful." says Dik.

You can currently see Scheepers' work at the Dutch Design week event in Eindhoven which kicked off on the 23rd. Academie Beeldende Kunsten Maastricht is presenting ‘Design Your Future’ at the Building at Strijp-S, showing a selection from their graduates of 2010.
