This great little wood stove is the work of Swiss designer Wuehl Yanes, who recently showcased it at Interieur 2010 in Kortrijk as part of the Young Designers Fair at the event.

Yanes came up with the design for his graduation project to finish his course at the Ecal university of Art and Design in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The sculptural little piece is movable and small enough to sit in a small room, but big enough to kick out some decent heat and create a cosy fireplace atmosphere.

For a contemporary feel, the base is made of concrete, but is also practical since you can use it to store wood.

Yanes also cleverly placed the smoke evacuation at the back, leaving the top flat; the perfect spot for a teapot.
