Designer Elisa Strozyk and artist Sebastian Neeb have recently collaborated on this 'Accordion Cabinet', which was also on show at IMM Cologne last week.
The piece features a wooden layer folded like an accordion, wrapped around a rectangular unit. The wooden layer is made of lamellas of various veneers, fixed to a textile base material.
This combination of materials presents the wood in a surprising light since it can be moved rather like a piece of cloth - a technique Strozyk has used before with equally beautiful results.
