EXCAVATIONS BY DE INTUITEFABRIEK

We last heard from all-girl design collective De Intuïtiefabriek (The Intuition Factory) this time last year when they launched their 'Metropolis' project at DMY Berlin 2010.

But last week, Design Academy Eindhoven graduates Amba Molly, Carolina Wilcke, Eefiene Bolhuis and Eva Gevaert presented their new project 'Excavations' which is a unique collection of treasures, dug up from the corners of their imagination.

Championed by the young designer-focused Gallery Priveekollektie during Art Basel, De Intuïtiefabriek referenced the idea of archeological excavations in a collection of objects revealing 'a glimpse of a culture, her people and their customs.'

Housed in a finely crafted cabinet, their pieces range from from hand tools to vessels, from brushes to spoons; each item one-of-a kind and handmade.
