VITO BY HEYTEAM COLLECTIVE

Take a look at this clever design from young studio HeyTeam design collective.

Together, designers Claudia Ciarpella, Paolo Emili and Riccardo Paccaloni (who all studied Industrial Design at the University of Camerino in Italy) have come up with 'Vito' - a trestle that allows you to create a table using your preferred tabletop.

The furniture system consists of two metal strings that embrace the tabletop and two legs that fix the top to the string each side.

It works rather like a classic carpenter’s clamp: the legs are screwed on the dedicated holes on the metal string until they reach the top and then tightened against the tabletop; when you don't need it simply remove the legs and pack it to save space

The metal strings come in two size variations too, allowing for even more flexibility.
