Young designer Romain Lagrange has just completed this great project as part of his MAS-Luxury diploma at ECAL.

'Gates' is an interior croquet game for adult players, made from high-grade materials such as sycamore, maple, cork and leather.

Produced in collaboration with French and Swiss craftsmen, the set is comprised of two mallets, six gates and two stakes.

The original version of this game is rather complicated, so the whole idea has been simplified to enable indoor play, and all the bits fit neatly together when you're not playing it.

Apparently, Louis XIV of France was a big fan of croquet, but was unable to play in winter, so had to give it up.

Pity he didn't have one of these sets - this is superb.
