Young German designer Elisa Strozyk's experiments in flexible wooden structures are ongoing, and we think the evolution of her 'Wooden Textile' idea just keeps getting more and more beautiful.
We've featured her works before, and here's another piece from her growing collection of furniture and objects; a pendant lamp called 'Miss Maple'.
Playing with a familiar material in an unconventional way, in Strozyk's light fitting, wood as a plain surface is broken down into a grid of triangles which makes her flexible lampshade transformable manually in three-dimensional ways.
While the lamp generates warm light at night, the surface outside becomes more evident with daylight and turns the lamp into sculptural object.
