NARCISO VASES BY GIORGIA ZANELLATO

We see a lot of beautiful projects here at M.E., but we think this one's a bit of a showstopper.

'Narciso' is the latest project from young design talent Giorgia Zanellato who studied for her Masters degree at ECAL and is currently working at Fabrica - Benetton's communications research centre.

Essentially, 'Narciso' is a series of six vases that use mirrors to draw attention to the role of the flowers placed within.

Made in borosilicate glass, powder-coated aluminium and mirrored stainless steel, the reflections, or refractions, range from simplest enhancement of a flower stem to a complex kaleidoscope effect.

We're also loving Giorgia's earlier projects.

Check out 'Hairdressed'; combs made of hair and resin, 'Equilibrista'; a portable playground for kids, and 'Soprammobile'; Giorgia's fascinating MA project on the phenomenon of knick-knacks via the link below...
