He's not yet finished his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, but young design talent Simon Legald has already been scooped up by Normann Copenhagen.

The Scandinavian design powerhouse have just launched this 'Sumo' Pouff at both Maison et Objet in Paris and Formland in Denmark which Legald has designed.

Robust and friendly, Sumo was inspired by classic Danish furniture forms, and Legald has paid special attention to detail and craftmanship in creating the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.

Simple and honest - Legald's design motto - Sumo is made of a combination of wood, textiles and buttons, with subtle detail expressed in the make up of the upholstery and stitching.

Legald graduates this summer.
